In line with the highly anticipated release of the 2016 USA 2.8L Duramax, EFILive, the industry leader in aftermarket diesel tuning software is excited to release the first custom tuning solution for USA based 2.8L Duramax vehicles.
Drawing on the extensive knowledge gained while developing support for non-USA 2.8L Duramax vehicles, this latest release delivers an all encompassing tuning solution, and implements EFILive's renowned custom operating system - DSP4, switchable tuning on the fly.
The DSP4 custom operating system allows customers to switch 'on the fly' between four tunes, all stored in the ECM's flash memory. Having multiple tunes instantly accessible means changing tunes to suit different driving conditions no longer requires the ECM to be reflashed each time you choose to run a different tune. Simply build up all the tunes you need, flash the ECM once and then select your desired tune.
Like all new supported controllers, reading and flashing has been added to the EFILive V8 Scan and Tune software providing solutions for both pass-thru and BBX reading and flashing. Editing tuning parameters is available using the V7 Tune tool. Controller locking has also been implemented to prevent tune files from being read from the ECM by any tuning software, while still allowing ECM flashing with EFILive software. In addition to engine tuning, customers are also able to tune the 6 speed automatic transmission by selecting the T43 transmission controller.
Backed with an unrivaled scan tool and customer support, multiple switching options are available including EFILive's own FlashScan V2 and AutoCal hardware, along with approved 3rd party CAN bus hardwired switches. Two new documents complete this release; the E98 GM Diesel Quick Start Guide and the DSP for 2.8L Duramax User Guide are now available by selecting the links provided, or by navigating to the Documents menu in the EFILive V8 Scan and Tune software.
Duramax 2.8L tuning software is a FREE software upgrade for existing customers who update their software to the March public pre-release or later.
